The resort is five minutes drive away from the Lake Bogoria National Reserve popularly known for the hot springs and geysers, dotted all around the southern shores of the lake. Some shoot spumes of spray up to a height of 6meters. There are sulphur waters gushing out of the ground and known to have therapeutic values hence are natural spas and steam bath/sauna. Caution - The Hot spring water is extremely hot, the water gushing out is at boiling point and all our esteemed visitors are forewarned to be extra careful while in this part of the park.

The Lake Bogoria National Reserve also plays host to the greater shy kudu, an antelope with spiralling horns as well as impalas, grant gazelles, cheetah and waterbucks. While strolling within the precincts of the resort one can catch the glimpse of Monkeys, Marabou storks and Ostriches. A variety of bird life, pre-historic sites and the pristine natural tropical rainforests aptly describe the resort.NB: Most of the animals are seen early in the morning or late afternoon due to the hot weather conditions that prevail in the area. The Lake Bogoria National Reserve is open from 0600hrs to 1900hrs.

To open up the Western Kenya circuit accessed through the B4 Marigat route, stay at Lake Bogoria Hotel and proceed through the Kabarnet Town- Fluorspar- Iten - Kabartonjo (to the Kipsaraman Museum) or to Eldoret - A104 Webuye route -B2 to Kitale or A1 route to Kitale via Webuye into the Mount Elgon National Reserve or any other areas in this circuit.
